THIS IS WHO I AM
About Me:

You are an ancient one, a True Elder. And you have the wrinkles and back pain to prove it. You don’t have the energy to lead the council yourself as High Magister, but fancy yourself the “power behind the throne.” You have strong opinions on the various issues, including the tech masquerade and werewolves, and know that the youths might find them unpopular. You feel like you can have more sway over the rest of the council if members of your House, House Obsidian, get elected. You just need to keep your biggest secret: You’re Fergalicious. Definition? Make the boys go loco. (It’s you, the boys. You fuckin love Fergie.)

You were involved in both the goth community and the overall vampyre scene before it really even hit New England. You were a card-carrying member of the Count Dracula Fan Club, looking forward to their monthly letters in the 70s, and remember when Interview with the Vampire was first published. You used to travel around, visiting clubs in NYC and Boston and New Orleans on your weekends, and even toured with The Cure as their lighting guy back in 1984 for the US leg of their tour. You lived through all of the drama with BUNS and TITS, and had a sometimes-tense relationship with Lord Bloodfang, though that was nothing compared to the tension following his sudden demise. While you always felt some affinity towards BUNS’ House-focused system, you could never throw in your lot with Tiberius, their founder. He couldn’t tell you the first thing about vampirism. He probably didn’t even watch Interview with the Vampire, let alone read any of the books. He clearly has always been into this for style and clout. When Asmodeus refused to join a House on principle and became High Magister of BOOB, things felt a bit awkward to you, but you could put that aside… though it led to you and Scarlette Succubus breaking up for good after dating on-and-off since you met in the late 90s. You kept trying to get Asmodeus to join House Obsidian, which Scarlette viewed as a slight against her and the other members who were Ronin, often by choice. Scarlette then caught wind of you trying to encourage one of the Ronin to join House Obsidian by insinuating that joining a House was the only way to truly build a family in this community, and that Ronin weren’t really bound together by anything they had in common, like oaths or tenets, and she took that personally… and continues to take it personally.
And then, when the Werewolf Wars happened, you knew that you made the right choice in joining BOOB. Asmodeus definitely made the right choice in not allowing those lupine usurpers in. Ugh. And now they’re trying to fight to get in again? Was all of that drama in 2008 for nothing? You’re too old and tired to deal with this again. But at the same time, you’ll be damned to let all of your hard work a decade and a half ago go to waste.

DARK POWER

Lore of the Ancients. You can call up the history of this society and call upon the spirits of former members who aged out of the scene to back you up on this. Summoning the spirits of your long-lost comrades, you can get one person in your conversation to agree with one of your suggestions, insisting that it’s what the spirits of the lost say is correct. In your interpretation, none of them truly quit the Vampyre scene. They just got too busy for it, and are moving silently from a distance instead of openly in Court. They didn’t “outgrow” this, they just refined their approaches. Or died. Some of them just died.

DARK MACHINATIONS

• Do not allow the werewolf pack to be recognized as their own House. You know that the Elders of the other two Houses are Pro-Wolf. This can be a problem. Maybe it’s time for the other Houses to restructure a bit, and you can find something that would get Yokai or Belladonna removed as Elders of their Houses?
• You know several people are pushing for you to have the position of High Magister, and if you have to, you’ll be talked into it. But you’re tired. You don’t have the energy for that kind of thing anymore. That kid in your house, Vlad, seems to have a good head on his shoulders… and is somebody you could influence with very little work, as his Elder. Maybe more people could get on board with him as their leader.
• Avoid letting Belladonna get her wolf-loving claws into Vlad while you’re at it. You know she’s been looking to poach him into House Von Toreador.
• Have it codified that members of BOOB should avoid posting about vampirism online or talking about it with the media. You shouldn’t be seeking that kind of attention from mundanes for multiple reasons- it will make it harder to psychically feed, will lead to even more prying and stereotyping, and will lead to them wandering into our noble spaces and ruining them. A Tech Masquerade needs to be formalized.
• Patch things up with Scarlette, maybe?
• Don’t let anybody find out that you fucking love Fergie.

Sir Nocturnus's Friend Space

Sir Nocturnus has 82 friends.

Atalune
Ah, the “Alpha Wolf” of a pack nobody wants around. They left BUNS after having some sort of fight with a different pack there years ago. Atalune has been allowed in as a member of BOOB, but the rest of the pack refuses to join unless Atalune gets them recognized as the equivalent of a House. It’s almost like Atalune can’t take the hint, that their little pack isn’t wanted anywhere. For some reason, the other Elders have taken a liking to them. No clue what they see in Atalune though. Or why Atalune is so dead set on sticking their hairy nose where it doesn’t belong.

Cerberus Din
You and Cerberus first met at a cabaret night where they were hired to watch the door, and started to see each other at more events. One day, you invited them to BOOB Court and they showed up, and the rest is history. They’ve been one of the more prominent members of your House ever since they officially took their oath and joined, quickly being appointed Fang Keeper. You know that Belladonna has some issues with how Cerb is handling the role, but you feel like she’d erase far too much history and legacy if she focused on the more superficial aspects of it. Even if your friend wasn’t the one who would get screwed over the most.

Scarlette
You two go wayyyyy back. You dated on-and-off since 1998, but broke it off in 2016 due to Scarlette feeling like you were being harsh about Ronin members while trying to recruit new House members and sway Asmodeus to joining you. You still have soft feelings for her, and even though you stand by everything you said about Ronin versus your House, you wish you never said it… or that she never caught wind of all the things you said.

Belladonna
Your fellow Elder… You two need to remain cordial to each other, though you both know that a mutual resentment simmers below the surface. Especially now that she’s discovered “My Space” and wants to officially remove any concept of a Masquerade so she could try to recruit members of her House using the internet. And you really don’t want some sort of cos-play LARP poser like her being the face of the movement online. House von Toreador?! Who is she kidding with that?

Yokai
When the two of you almost came to blows during the wolf wars, it looked like they were about to defect to BUNS. Things have been tense between you two ever since, for years.

Vladislav
He’s joined only in the past few years, but seems pretty enthusiastic. When he just randomly showed up, you saw immediately that he would be a good fit for your House, with his focus on his legacy and tradition within this community. Though you know that he may not be as loyal to your House as you would like, and Belladonna is eager to poach him from you. You also know he wants to be able to talk publicly about being a vampyre, a foolish choice that he can’t understand the gravity of at his age.

Phoenix Bane
The youngest of your Chylder, an inquisitive literary type. They remind you a lot of yourself when you were a young gent. Contributing to the canon of vampire fiction is a valued tradition within the Vampyre Community.

Pazuzu
They are always toeing the line of breaking the 3rd Rule, disrespecting Elders… disrespecting you in particular. Cerberus, as Fang-Keeper, has encouraged you to give them another chance. One last chance. That’s all you have left for them.

Tiberius, High Magister of BUNS/Asmodeus, former High Magister of BOOB
You know that the reason for the rift in the courts was really just a messy breakup between their two old leaders and devised a more “noble” reasoning behind their rivalry… one that actually kinda makes sense. Asmodeus made you swear secrecy to never let this get out. But Asmodeus isn’t here anymore, is he?
