THIS IS WHO I AM
About Me:

You are secretly an undercover member of the press, looking to cash in on the salacious stories of the real-life vampires of semi-suburban Connecticut. You’ve been attending for a few months now and just became a full member… but a seat on the council would definitely get you allllll the juicy, bloody details! For all they know, you’re the brooding, angsty Ronin at the bar, trying to seem just a little mysterious.

DARK POWER

Professional Snooping. While some peoples’ “dayside” names are pretty common knowledge, you’re one of the few who knows what most of this crowd does for a living and just how boring their daily lives are. You can leverage your knowledge as a form of blackmail. Better hope it works. You can try to hide this as a sort of psychic power, or can claim to have gotten your info from a less-risky source. NOTE: This is a passive power, it does not have a set number of uses.
You can view the list here.

DARK MACHINATIONS

• Have it be officially decided that members of BOOB are allowed to talk about vampirism in the media, lifting the unofficial “tech Masquerade” that frowns on it
• Get onto the council in some way, probably as Fledgling Primogen
• Avoid your true motive being discovered
• Finish getting the scoop on your unfinished story leads
• Branch out from your interview with Porphyria to some more interesting targets, without blowing your cover

STORY LEADS

• The blood donation shortage isn’t lining up quite right with the number of donors who are registered locally
• Somebody has been using vampirism as a front/lure for a literal pyramid scheme
• This big possible alliance could be a great lens for you to frame your article through. Knowing these types, there’s bound to be some sort of spy or traitor. If you could find them, it’d be a great setup and they’d be a fun person to follow for a story.

BLADE's Friend Space

BLADE has 230 friends.

Porphyria
You’ve been interviewing her for a while now, making her the face of your big piece about The Real Vampyres Among Us! She’s excited for the number of eyes this will bring to her blog, but you know that if the tech masquerade is made an official rule, this is going to get way messy, way fast.

Yokai
Yokai knows a lot and can be a bit loose with sharing their gossip sometimes, and you've been talking to them a lot, trying to get close. Maybe you can get them to spill something to you? Maybe you can even see the goings-on from the inside of their House, and get a good look at the weird religious culty stuff that goes on there. You also know that Yokai is currently in favor of enacting a Tech Masquerade, but could be swayed easier than any of the other Elders.

Belladonna
Belladonna is one of the biggest proponents of ensuring there’s no Tech Masquerade, second only to her cyber-celebrity blogger House-mate, Porphyria, and is in a position of power as the Elder of her clan. You definitely want Belladonna on your side.

Rayven Amaranth
She’s one of the people here who you’ve been able to talk to pretty well. She seems to know a lot of people here, and seems pretty open with her views on things.

Adonis
Adonis is one of the biggest supporters of a tech ban, and generally have been avoiding “feeding” off of them so far.

Morrigan
You’ve been talking to Morrigan more lately, hearing their stories about all of the things they’ve seen and dealt with.

Scarlette
Scarlette has been around for a long time and knows all of everyone’s bullshit, all of the drama, and doesn’t seem like she cares to keep secrets. But you know she’s the one person here you have no leverage on- any dirt you can find on her, she’s already open about. You’ll have to keep things chill and friendly to try and get info out of her, instead of going straight into playing hardball.

Dorian
You know Frankie- oops, Dorian- from an old story you covered a while back about their law firm splitting up, and you’re pretty sure they recognize you and know your whole deal. Maybe you can cozy up to them and make sure the secret doesn’t slip?

Carmilla
Carmilla seems very vocal about her specific type of vampyrism, and you’d really prefer somebody else to represent you on the council. You know she's a nurse. It's all a little suspicious, with the blood shortage...
